Event Details

Making your own yogurt is easy and economical. No added pectin or fillers - just milk. This class uses a special yogurt culture that does not require any special equipment or constant attention to temperature. Using a special yogurt culture, we will show you how to make yogurt one day and it will be ready the next day. And this is a reusable culture, meaning just save a little each time to make your next batch.

There are so many ways to enjoy yogurt: plain, with a little honey or flavored with fruit. Substituting yogurt for half the high fat mayonnaise called for in recipes is a healthy and tangy alternative.

We will also show you how to make your own soft cheese from your homemade yogurt. We will make small yogurt cheese balls from your own yogurt to be enjoyed with a little salt and pepper or fancied up with some herbs and spices.

You will take home a quart of yogurt and your homemade cheese along with detailed instructions.
